Grand jury issues 42 indictments

LISBON — A Columbiana man accused of assaulting someone providing him with medical treatment before for jumping out of a moving ambulance and a Lisbon area man accused of bringing brass knuckles into a courthouse were among 42 indictments issued this week by the Columbiana County Common Pleas Court grand jury. The secret indictments will be released as served. The following is the list of open and superseding indictments.

William R. Swagger, 24, Park Avenue, Columbiana, is charged with assault for allegedly physically harming Kevin Alesi, an EMS person performing official duties in an ambulance on the state Route 154 on ramp to state Route 11.

Dustin M. Dorff, 29, East Lake Road, Lisbon, charged with illegal possession or control of a deadly weapon or dangerous ordinance in a courthouse for allegedly bringing brass knuckles into County Municipal Court on Oct. 17.

Jasin B. Gamble, 42, Hammond School Road, Wellsville, is charged with improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, using weapons while intoxicated and physical control of a vehicle while under the influence. On Sept. 19, Gamble allegedly had a loaded firearm in his waistband, while he was at Sheetz in Calcutta and reportedly intoxicated.

A superseding indictment was issued for Erin Ann Taggart, 24, West Perry Street, Salem, charging him with tampering with evidence, possession drug abuse instruments and aggravated possession of drugs. On March 21 Taggart allegedly had methamphetamines, a syringe and tried to conceal it.

Charles A. Marshall Jr., St. George Street, East Liverpool, is charged with receiving stolen property for allegedly having a Taurus 9mm belonging to Dimitri White on Aug. 8.

David K. Hutto, 33, Lisbon Street, East Liverpool, is charged with endangering children, illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia and aggravated possession of drugs. On July 20, Hutto allegedly had methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, along with a child with him when he has a previous conviction in Texas in 2007 for providing alcohol to a minor.

Randy A. Martin, 33, Broadway, Wellsville, is charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle for allegedly having a 1996 pickup belonging to Jared Clark on Oct. 9.

Michael J. Mick, 42, North Walnut Street, East Palestine, is charged with complicity in the commission of an offense for allegedly helping Randy Martin or Nikki Koffel in committing a theft offense on Oct. 9.

Samantha I. Sisco, 30, West Clark Street, East Palestine, is charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle for allegedly having a 2004 Jeep Commander belonging to Heather Long on Oct. 8.

Douglas Eugene Gill, 38, Lisa Lane, Lisbon, is charged with failure to provide notice of a change of address for allegedly failing to inform the county sheriff’s office of his change of address, which he is required to do following a conviction in 2009 for indecency with a child in Texas.

Kenneth Aaron Bragg, 26, Vine Street, East Liverpool, is charged with domestic violence for allegedly harming Ashley Lee Dearth on July 16, when he has previous domestic violence convictions in East Liverpool Municipal Court.

Jason Charles Sorrentino, 35, St. Clair Avenue, East Liverpool, is charged with domestic violence for allegedly harming Brandi Lee Sorrentino on April 29 when he has previous convictions on County Municipal Court.

Allen D. Culberson, 67, Cusick Road, West Point, is charged with OVI for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol on Sept. 14 when he has a previous OVI conviction in Common Pleas Court in July 2014.
