Jail escapee and girlfriend captured

LISBON -- Life on the run for Larry Williams and Candy Kibler came to an abrupt halt Thurday night, barely 25 hours after he broke out of the Columbiana County Jail and she helped him evade arrest.
The pair were captured in Lewisburg in southeastern West Virginia after Williams crashed his stolen car into a nursing home kitchen at 11:30 p.m. Thursday while being chased by local police. No one in the nursing home was injured, but the 24 residents had to be moved elsewhere.
Kibler suffered a broken collar bone and was treated and released from a local hospital. She and Williams are being held in the Southern Regional Jail in Beckley, W.Va., while awaiting extradition back to Columbiana County, where both face escape-related felony charges.
