AKRON - Melissa Marie Yuschak became the bride of Nickolas Joseph Thompson in an outdoor double ring ceremony at Todaro's Party Center, Akron, on June 20. Rev. Lynn Rouls performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Becky Yuschak, Akron.
The groom is the son of Jack and Brenda Thompson, Salem.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents the bride wore a light gold and silver strapless taffeta gown with crystal beading and rhinestones. The dress was created from her mother's wedding gown. She wore an ivory elbow length veil imbedded with rain drops and carried a bouquet of calla lilies and ivory roses.
Serving her sister as maid of honor in a pool blue teach length spaghetti strap gown with brown sash was Michele Yuschak, Akron. In matching gowns were bridesmaids Pamela Bennent, Jessica Yuschak, sister-in-law of the bride, Suzameh Quilan, all of Akron, Jessica Siegenthowle, Canal Fulton, Alison Shaffer, Hanoverton, and April Webster, cousin of the bride, Cleveland. Flower girl was Savanna Webster, cousin of the bride.
Jason Thompson, brother of the groom, Hanoverton, performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Christopher Faehnle, cousin of the groom, New York, Kyle Faehnle, cousin of the groom, Alberta, Canada, Tom Johnson, Colorado, Michael Yuschak, brother of the bride, Eric Burmann, both of Akron, and Lance Conaway, Lisbon.
Approximately 140 guests attended a reception at the Todaro's Party Center. A flower arrangement was placed on the newlyweds table in memory of the grooms brother, Tom Thompson. A rehearsal dinner was held at the Spaghetti Warehouse, Akron
The couple is planning a July 2010 cruise and reside in Akron.
The bride graduate from Kent State in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in recreation with a minor in psychology. She is employed as an activity coordinator at Copley Health Center, Copley.
The groom is employed by Sterling Jewelers, Akron, as an account representative.
