LEXINGTON, Ky. - Kristen Lynn Thomas became the bride of Grant David Thompson on June 27, in Lexington, Ky., with Rev. John Sartelle officiating.
The bride is the daughter of John and Brenda Thomas, Hammondsville.
The groom is the son of Mark and Mindy Thompson of Kirksville, Mo.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore a white satin Cinderella gown with a sweetheart bodice adorned with beadwork and embroidery, accented by waist length and cathedral length veils. Her chapel length train featured A-line pleats and a pull up bustle. She carried a bouquet of red roses, green cymbidium orchids, and green hypericum berries.
Serving as maid of honor in a red strapless a-line dress was Sarah Miller. In matching gowns were bridesmaids were Jessica Chiodo and Ashley Thompson.
Tony Thompson, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Chad Thompson, brother of the groom, and John Gaddy.
Approximately 150 guests attended an evening reception.
The bride graduated from Mount Union College in 2006 with a degree in physics and astronomy.
The groom graduated from the University of Missouri in 2005 with a degree in physics and astronomy.
Both are currently pursuing their doctorate degrees in astrophysics at the University of Kentucky.
Following a honeymoon in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple resides in Lexington, Ky.
