Jacqueline Carr marries Matthew M. Brewer

EAST LIVERPOOL - Jacqueline Carr became the bride of Matthew Michael Brewer on June 13 at Thompson Park with Jamison McCombs, cousin of the groom, officiating the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Dan and Sue Carr, Wellsville.

The groom is the son of Larry and Judy Brewer, Wellsville.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a luminous satin one-piece, strapless, A-line gown with corset closure and glistening jeweled bodice. The asymmetrical wrap waist was highlighted with a spray of beading and the gown's back was accentuated with cascading pleats embellished with jeweled accents. She carried a bouquet of pink and green daisies, lilies and hydrangeas.

Jennifer McCombs, cousin of the groom, served as maid of honor and Sara Pinkerton, cousin of the bride, served as matron of honor in black tea-length strapless gowns with green sash. In matching gowns were bridesmaids Alyson Vujaklya, sister of the groom; Jena Welch and Tabitha Coil, cousins of the bride; Kristen Traina, Ashley Cunningham and Brea Monte. Payton Munoz, daughter of the bride, served as junior bridesmaid.

Performing the duties of best man was David Thompson. Groomsmen were Josh Carr, brother of the bride; Chris Vujaklya, brother-in-law of the groom; Alfonso Traina, Marcus Prendes, Jamin Pastore, Brent Ellis and Daniel Higgins. Jaxon Brewer, son of the couple served as ring bearer.

Cousins of the bride, Alexa and Brooke Schwerha distributed programs, while cousins of the groom, Ciara and Patrick Doyle distributed bubbles and bells. Barbie Boyce performed a reading during the ceremony.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the East Liverpool Motor Lodge. A rehearsal dinner was held at Tonda's Place, Wellsville.

After a honeymoon to the Riu Palace in Negril, Jamaica, the couple resides in Wellsville.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Wellsville High School and a 2006 graduate of Franklin University in Columbus. She holds an accounting degree and is employed as a staff accountant at Mountaineer Casino Race Track and Resort.

The groom is a 2002 graduate of Wellsville High School. He is a member of Laborer's Local 809 and is employed by Bechtel Corp, working at First Energy's Sammis Plant in Stratton.
