Stepuks celebrate golden year

CANFIELD - Paul and Carol Stepuk, Canfield, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 10 at Antone's Banquet Center. The celebration for family and friends was hosted by their children and spouses. They were also honored on Sept. 12 at the Nativity of Christ Orthodox Church, Youngstown, where they are members. A ceremony was conducted after the liturgy to honor the couple.

The former Carol Lodge, Salem, married Paul Stepuk, Greenford, on Sept. 10, 1960 at the Salem First Baptist Church.

Mr. Stepuk was employed by Ohio Edison for 27 years, retiring in 1994 as Salem district manager.

Mrs. Stepuk worked as a bank teller for Farmer's National Bank, Austintown.

The couple owned and operated Stepuk Tree Farm, Washingtonville Road, which is now managed by their sons. The are also active members of the Mahoning County Reserve Officers Association.

They have four children, Paul D. Stepuk and Mark (Becky) Stepuk, all of Canfield; Greg Stepuk, Boardman; and Melissa (Mike) Chadbourne, Bradenton, Fla. They also have four grandchildren.
