Golden year for ELO couple

EAST LIVERPOOL - Leo Keith and Joan Hughes will celebrate their 50th anniversary on July 28 with a celebration hosted by their children.

The former Joan Yeager, daughter of the late Myrtle and Curtis Yeager, married Leo Hughes, son of the late Leo Hughes and Wayne and Rosella Shook, on July 28, 1961. Wilma and Jerry Anderson served as matron of honor and best man.

Mr. Hughes retired from Crucible Steel and the Columbiana County Education Service Center where he was a bus driver.

Mrs. Hughes is a retired bus driver from Beaver Local.

The couple have two daughters, Traci (Eric) Furman and Dana (Rich) Wright, all of East Liverpool; and four grandchildren.
