COLUMBIANA - Penny Lynn Garrett became the bride of David Lee Downey on Dec. 24 at Faith Chapel Fellowship in Salem.
The bride is the daughter of Danny and Beverly Garrett, Leetonia.
The groom is the son of the late Richard Downey and Shirley Downey, East Palestine.

Pastor Larry Paxon officiated the 3 p.m. ceremony.
The bride, escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, wore a strapless white satin gown with silver embroidery flowers and appliqued sequin beading, featuring a royal blue sash, lace up back and royal blue inset in the court length train. She also wore a tiara featuring swarovski crystals and rhinestones with a subtle snowflake design. She carried a bouquet of blue and white roses, and pine sprigs with long cascading strands of pearls.
Erin Hill, Columbiana, served her sister as maid of honor in a sleeveless blue satin knee length dress. In blue gowns of varying design were bridesmaids Carol Basinger, Columbiana; and Sarah Downey, East Palestine, niece of the groom. Serving as flower girl was Katie Hill, niece of the bride.
Performing the duties of best man was David Downey Jr., son of the couple. Groomsmen were Jonathan and Matthew Downey, sons of the couple.
A small reception followed the ceremony in the church banquet room.
The couple is planning a spring honeymoon to Key West, Fla. They reside in Columbiana.
