COLUMBIANA - Katherine Jeanette Pylypiak became the bride of Benjamin Alan Detwiler, on March 31 at the United Methodist Church of Macedonia.
The bride is the daughter of Dennis and Andrea Pylypiak, Macedonia.
The groom is the son of Samuel and Monica Detwiler, Columbiana.

The Rev. Kathryn Adams officiated the 2 p.m. double ring ceremony.
Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride, wore a taffeta ball gown featuring a sweetheart neckline, cap sleeves and high back with lace details and a fingertip veil. She carried a bouquet of pink and orange amazon roses, cymbidium orchids, purple lisianthus and green hypernicum berries.
Alexa Pylypiak, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Wearing plum dresses in various styles were bridesmaids, Andrea Detwiler, sister of the groom; Joree Jacobs, Lakshmi Rangaswamy, Krista Foster, Ashley Vogel and Kristina Harris.
Timothy Detwiler, brother of the groom, performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Garrett Lunger, Ryan Hart, Geoffrey Trees, Brian Bagwell, David Cornich and Mohammad Rameezuddin.
A reception followed at the SYB Hall, Stow.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Nordonia High School. She received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Youngstown State University in 2009 and a master's in occupational therapy from Cleveland State University in 2011. She is employed at Los Altos SubAcute and Rehabilitation Center.
The groom is a 2005 graduate of South Range High School. He earned bachelor's degrees in electrical engineering and accounting and business administration from Youngstown State University in 2011. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in electrical engineering at Stanford University.
The couple resides in Palo Alto, Calif. and are planning a honeymoon trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in June.
