SALEM - Amanda Jackson and Trevor Gardner are announcing their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Robert and Patricia Jackson, Salem. She graduated from Salem High School in 1998 and received a bachelor's degree in political science and psychology from Otterbein College in 2002. She earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Capital University Law School in 2005. She is an attorney/partner at Plummer & Jackson, Attorneys at Law, Salem.

Her fiance is the son of Dr. James and Lynn Gardner, Salem. A 2001 Salem High School graduate, he received a bachelor's degree in aeronautical studies from Kent State University in 2005 and an associate's degree in air traffic control from the Community College of Beaver County in 2007. He is an air traffic control specialist at Mansfield-Lahm Control Tower and recently accepted a position as a radar specialist at Cleveland Air Route Traffic Control Center, Oberlin.
