LISBON - Gene and Carol McGaffick, Lisbon, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 13 with family and friends at the Chef's Table, Lisbon. The event was hosted by their sons and daughter-in-laws.
The former Carol Jane Finlay married Ronald Gene McGaffick on Aug. 11, 1962 at Calvary Methodist Church, East Liverpool. Reverend Irwin Jennings officiated the ceremony.
Mr. McGaffick was self-employed in the trucking business and a partner in J&G Trucking Company in Lisbon. He retired in 1999.

Mrs. McGaffick retired in 2006 from the Lisbon Exempted Village School District where she worked as a school nurse and health grant coordinator.
They have two sons, Randy (Beth) McGaffick, Lisbon; and Eric (Claudia) McGaffick, Salem; and three grandchildren.
