CAMBRIDGE - Beaver Local senior wrestlers Josh Henderson and Ron Foster earned first-place finishes at the Cambridge Tournament on Saturday.
Henderson was first at 113 pounds and Foster won at 132 pounds.
"They showed today why they are some of the best wrestlers in the state at their weight classes," Beaver Local coach Jordan Williams said. "They will continue to get better has the year goes on."
In the finals, Henderson pinned West Holmes' Josiah Allison, while Foster won by a 15-4 major decision over Belpre's Manney Tullius.
Our placers for Beaver Local were freshman Jason Keyes, third at 120; sophomore Daniel Hasson, third at 138; senior Daniel Lattanzio, third at 170; sophomore Jack Dawson, fourth at 106; junior Morley Marsden, fifth at 182; senior Cody Martsolf, fifth at 285; and freshman Dustin Martsolf, sixth at 126.
"Overall it was a very good tournament for us," Williams said. "We got a chance to get back on the mats and wrestle for the first time at a tough tournament. We are happy every kid was able to get a win, but we have a lot of work to do to reach our goals.
