EAST LIVERPOOL - The Minerva girls used a 20-0 third quarter to rally past East Liverpool, 60-39, at the Potter Fieldhouse on Wednesday.
Raychel Blocher led the Lions with a game-high 16 points and 15 rebounds.
Lorin Clark added 14 points and five assists. Jacklyn Russell had 11 points and four steals. Mayson Hardgrove pulled down 11 rebounds and Lauren Haynam made four steals.
Minerva improves to 4-1 on the season.
The Lions trailed 29-20 at halftime before outscoring the Potters 40-10 in the second half.
"We played a really good first half," East Liverpool coach Allan Dingey said. "Then we lost our composure and made some bad decisions. We're a young team and we couldn't handle the pressure."
Nikayla Edgell topped the Potters, scoring 10 of her team-high 12 points in the first quarter.
Minerva will host Alliance on Saturday, while East Liverpool will entertain Weir next Saturday.
