HAMMONDSVILLE - Robert F. "Pat" Lysle, 76, of Hammondsville, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012, at Trinity Medical Center West following a brief illness.

He was born on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 1936, in Toronto, the son of the late Frank and Blanche (Wagner) Lysle.

Pat graduated from Wellsville High School in 1954 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed as a crane operator for the former Crucible Steel Mill, before retiring in 1982. After retirement, he worked in construction for Citizen's Bank. Pat's only religious affiliation was as a friend of the Wellsville congregation of Jehovah Witness.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Sue Ellen (McGivern) Lysle, whom he married Dec. 25, 1959; one daughter: Carla Filbert and her husband Dan of Irondale; two sons: Bret Lysle of Salem, and Chad Lysle and his wife Natalie of Irondale; and two sisters: Carol Lanave of Toronto and Marian Jackson of East Liverpool. Also surviving are two grandsons: Dylon Filbert and Jason Baker; one granddaughter: Nadia Lylse; and several nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly.

In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by two sisters: Jean Westenhaver and Helen Carter; and three brothers: Tom, Raymond, and Jack Lysle.

Per Pat's request, there will be no visitation or service.

Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville, was entrusted with arrangements.
