Shivers tops Midwest Meet

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Salem High School graduate Anthony Shivers added another feather to his track and field career cap on Saturday (June 15, 2013) at the Midwest Meet of Champions at Northrop High School.

The two-time Division II state discus champion threw 198-feet, 3-inches to win the all-star event in the process helping Ohio to 190 points and a win over Indiana (163) and Michigan (112).

Also for Salem, Zack Wukotich took fifth in the high jump (6-foot-7), while South Range's Tim Nichols took ninth in the 3200 meters (9:45.19).

The Ohio girls also won a team title with 203 points. Indiana was second with 154 1/2 and Michigan was third with 109 1/2.
