Worker hurt at Col-Pump

October 8, 2013
Morning Journal News

COLUMBIANA - A man was seriously injured Monday morning at Col-Pump on East Railroad Street.

Police Chief Tim Gladis confirmed the department assisted with setting up the landing zone in nearby Firestone Park for the Stat MedEvac helicopter and performing traffic control during the incident.

A city ambulance was requested at the company sometime that morning for what Gladis described as an industrial accident.

He said the department had no other involvement in the matter and directed questions to the city's EMS director, Tom Farley.

A dispatcher at the EMS department said Farley was not available due to being out of the office all day.
