Dollie Dimples Jenkins age 96 died at her residence Friday, November 8, 2013.
Dollie was born in Forest County, Wisconsin October 27, 1917 to Floyd Day & Mary Lou (Lawson) Robbins. Dollie has lived most of her life in the Kensington and Han-overton area.
She was a homemaker and the mother of 12 children.
Dollie was a member of The Little Anna United Baptist Church in Dungannon.
Dollie married John Therman Jenkins on January 12, 1935. He died April 24, 1975.
Surviving her are 9 daughters: Margaret Lacey of Hanoverton; Juanita Buckius of Rogers; Mary McGuire of Hanoverton; Reva (Bruce) Diekman of Elkton; Patti Jenkins of Lisbon; Desta ( Frank ) McGuire of Hanoverton; Billie (David ) Bertini of Amsterdam; Carolyn (Mike) Tetzlaff of Zion, Illinois and Edna Jenkins of Hanoverton; Two sons: Earl (Sally) Jenkins of East Rochester; Jeffrey (Bonnie) Jenkins of Minerva; a brother Tom Robbins of Alexandria, Ky; 40 grandchildren; 132 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were three sisters: Iva Potter, Marie Robbins and Beulah Brock; three brothers, Thurston, Arnold and Earl Robbins; and a son, Thurman Jenkins Jr.
Funeral service for Dollie will be Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Maple-Cotton Funeral Home in Kensington with John May officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Hill Cemetery in Hanoverton.
The calling hours for Dollie will be Monday, November 11, 2013 (today) from 7 to 9 at the Maple-Cotton Funeral Home and one hour before time of service on Tuesday.
