Jamie D. Nign, 39, and his wife Meghann Ludwig Nign, 27, of East Liverpool were killed in an auto accident January 19, 2014.
He was born August 12, 1974 in Canton, Ohio to Edward and Violet (Vickie) (Peoples) Nign. He was a graduate of the 1992 Class of Carrollton High School and graduated from the Ohio Auto Diesel College of Cleveland.
Jamie was an avid hunter, motor sports fan. He served as Boy Scout Leader for many years. He also coached Soccer and was a member of the Calcutta Fire Department.
He and his family attended the Northside Community Church. He was employed by Dynamic Structures of New Waterford, Ohio.
He is survived by five sons: Tyler of Lima, Ohio, Kristopher of Marietta, Zachary of Minerva, Chayse and Brody of East Liverpool; three daughters: McKenna of Minerva, Savannah and Payslee of the home; one grandson: Travis Nign of Minerva; two brothers: Dan and Jeff Nign of Carrollton.
He was preceded in death by a nephew, Jarod Nign, and grandparents Blanche and John Nign and Harold Peoples.
Calling hours for Jamie will be Thursday, January 23, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Allmon Dugger Cotton Funeral Home in Carrollton.
The funeral will be Friday, January 24, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jennifer Bare officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery in Carrollton.
Arrangements are pending for his wife, Meghann Ludwig Nign.
