LEETONIA - Robert "Leo" Strabala, 77, of Leetonia passed away at his residence Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014.
He was born Nov. 18, 1936 in Salem to Robert Francis and Bertha Louise (Pike) Strabala.
Leo had lived in Dungannon most of his life. He attended St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. He was a farmer and worked for Ferris Coal. He retired from Soloman's Mine.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Lou (Dorsey) Strabala of his residence, whom he married May 16, 2007.
Other survivors include son James (Jennifer) Strabala and their children, Amanda, Nate, Beth and Kyle Strabala; son William (Judy) Strabala and their children, Robert Patton, Bradley Eltringham, Kimberly Pleasant, Justin Eltringham, William Strabala and Jordan Strabala; son Daniel (Ginger) Strabala and their children, Niki Strabala and Dalton Flory; daughter Wavelene (Jack) McGath and their children, Amber Smith, Paris Lotze, Jordan McGath, Dallas Lotze, Cheyenne Lotze, Dean (Joan) Shotwell and Gregory (Jamie) Dorsey; brother David (Midge) Strabala of Hanoverton and a sister Naomi Davis of Florida; and 19 great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister Alice McAllister.
Leo's calling hours will be Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014 from noon until 1 p.m. at the Maple Cotton Funeral Home in Kensington. The funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Richard Jones officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery in Damascus.
