March 2, 2014
Morning Journal News

Leetonia firefighters responded to a house fire at 37921 W. Main St. Extension at 10:23 a.m. Saturday. Heavy smoke was coming from an upstair's window when firefighters arrived, and one room sustained heavy damage. The rest of the insured house, owned by Rick and Patty Altomare, had extensive heat and smoke damage. Chief Larry Hephner said that while nothing appeared to be suspicious, the cause is still under investigation and the state fire marshal will investigate the scene on Monday. There were no injuries, and no one was home at the time.
