Liverpool Township Zoning Commission elects officers

LIVERPOOL TOWNSHIP –The Liverpool Township Zoning Commission held its annual organizational meeting Tuesday to elect officers. The meeting is typically held in January but was postponed due to Covid, according to Board Chairman Gary Bonnell.

A discussion regarding the zoning commission, zoning inspector and zoning board of appeals was held, centering on each one’s purpose. The election officers was then held.

Bonnell retained the board chairman position. Jeff Smith was elected vice chairman and Theresa Stockdale was voted in as secretary.

Board of Trustees President Dennis Giambroni noted that board members were appointed to five-year terms by the trustees who work to find the right mix of people for the board.

Trustee Mike Bahen indicated it was hard to find people to fill the spots on the board. Anyone interested could contact the trustees in December. They then would be considered for an interview if there are vacancies on the board.

Giambroni said that if residents need to know if they are in a zoned area they can check the map on the township’s website www.liverpooltownship.com.
