The third annual Salem Toy and Comics Expo was held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Salem Centerplex, and featured several local comics, games, and collectible vendors, and had several iconic characters drop in throughout the day. At left, even the Galactic Empire was represented as Darth Vader patrolled the Center Plex, taking photos and chatting with attendees portrayed by Jeremy Drew. At right, Saturday’s Toy and Comic Expo also featured a visit from an independent comics publishing collective in the form of Pittsburgh-based Comicsburg, which produce its own comics and live action superhero show set in a fictionalized version of the steel city called Heroineburgh.
