Leetonia BOE holds brief meeting before Christmas break
LEETONIA — Days before students leave for their Christmas break, Leetonia school board members met briefly Wednesday to tie up some loose ends for their December regular meeting.
Among action, the school board:
— Approved the payment of Science of Reading stipends to staff members who completed the course.
— Accepted the resignation of cook Shannon Magmore, who then was approved as a classified substitute.
— Appointed Molly Coffee to a supplemental contract as adviser for Academic Challenge.
— Renewed their Ohio School Board Association dues and the Virtual Transportation Supervisor service add-on at a cost of $6,037.
— Approved their annual membership for the Family and Children First Council for fiscal year 2025 at a cost of $520.
— Approved game workers Breyle Merritt, Starr Neil, Ryan Spotleson, Joe McGath and Christie Felger.
— Set the time and date of the reorganizational and regular meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, in room 204. District treasurer Jennifer Coldsnow was appointed president pro-tempore for the reorganizational meeting.
