EAST LIVERPOOL — The East Liverpool City Health District is partnering with East Liverpool’s Community Animal Clinic to host the annual city-wide Rabies Vaccination Clinic from noon to 2 p.m. May 10 at the entrance to Westgate School, 810 W. 8th St. The awning provides shelter from wind or inclement weather and the clinic will commence rain or shine. There will be a $10 cash only fee per animal with no limit on the number of pets to be vaccinated. Dogs must be on a leash and cats in a suitable carrier.

Veterinarians Michael Sandy and Jennifer Sandy have spent 20 years serving the pets of community residents at the 651 Fisher Ave. and St. Clair location conducting routine health and emergency services for small animals in need of medical care. The Sandys have announced that on Feb. 18, they sold their practice to their associate and new owner, Veterinarian Dr. Ashley Veine, who will continue the veterinary legacy that has been conducted at this location since the 1960s.

The Sandys will continue seeing clients’ pets at the clinic on a part-time basis. The East Liverpool City Health District extends gratitude to Community Animal Clinic for always stepping up over the years when asked to vaccinate the area dogs and cats for rabies.

For information call Community Animal Clinic at 330-386-6306 or East Liverpool City Health Community Outreach at 330-383-0717.

Starting at $2.99/week.
