SALEM – Arla Hull was recently honored as Salem Regional Medical Center’s (SRMC) “Volunteer of the Year.”

Hull retired in 1992 from a career in banking to help watch her grandchildren and began volunteering at SRMC’s Lobby Information Desk in 2017. She has also previously served as a volunteer for Mobile Meals of Salem.

In addition to volunteering, Hull considers her family her top priority. She is especially thrilled to spend time with her three great-grandchildren.

Hull also enjoys baking and is known for her “world famous” chocolate chip cookies. While attending her granddaughter’s college volleyball games, she was often given free admission in exchange for her cookies.

“We are pleased to congratulate Arla and thank her for sharing her time and talents with our hospital and the community,” said Amy Reed, SRMC Director of Development.

To learn more about joining SRMC’s volunteer team, email volunteerservices@salemregional.com or contact Reed at 330-337-2883.
